The Under 20’s began their Premier League with a 51 - 6 win away against Greystones on Sunday.
The team scored eight tries in all and out in a great team performance on the day.
Special mention goes to Stephen Malone bagging a hat trick and the match ball (which was duly confiscated again as we are short on same!).
It’s a huge game up for us next and a date for club members diaries: provisionally (to be confirmed) we play under lights at home at 7:30 this Friday, 17th Oct, against UCD.
The 20’s are working extremely hard and this game is hugely important to our season and as much support as possible down to the Lodge on Friday night will be greatly appreciated. Please check this website for confirmation of match.
Old Belvedere made it two wins from two in their AIL league campaign with a 13 - 9 win over Young Munster.
Scores from Felix Jones, Dave Mongan and a penalty from Eoin O’Malley were enough to see Belvo home.

Old Belvedere’s U20’s played in a blitz down in Waterford at the weekend. Below are a few lines from manager Alan Wallace on the day’s play:
“In our group was Garryowen, Barnhall, U.C.C. & Clonmel. Weather was poor so good rugby was never going to be an option.
Games were 12 mins a half. We played Barnhall first and won 5 – 0. Secondly we faced U.C.C. and drew 0 – 0, defences being supreme. Thirdly, we played Garryowen and drew 0 – 0. Clonmel withdrew from the blitz due to injuries.
Tournament organisers decreed afterwards that U.C.C. had a better points total and they played the final against the hosts Waterpark winning easily. Overall useful exercise – nobody scored against us and the team bonding on the way back from Waterpark will ensure we are ready for Greystones away in the league next Sunday.”
