Club stalwart Redmond Kennedy recently ran the New York marathon, raising a huge amout for good causes.

‘Redzer’ has asked the club to pass on the below message of thanks:

“Just brief note to say a very big thank you to all OBFRC Club Members who lent their financial and moral support for my New York Marathon run earlier this month.

The atmosphere was unprecedented as I ran through the five boroughs of Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Manhattan. Over 2 million spectators turned out to cheer on circa 43,000 participants – incredible!

Not a mile went by without thinking of all your support and my cause. Our group of 70 runners raised in excess of €385,000 for the Children’s Medical and Research Foundation at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin and once again I wish to thank you most sincerely for your individual contributions.”

A huge well done to Redmond.
