Congratulations to Belvo member Redmond Kennedy who successfully ran the NY marathon last month.

Please find below a message of thanks from Redmond for the kind donations given to him by Belvo members, as well as links to images from the day (including a piece from the Evening Herald):

“Well I did it in 4 hours 10 minutes and 38 seconds. It was probably, both physically and emotionally, the most challenging sporting thing I have ever done.

The atmosphere was unprecedented, nothing but the sound of gushing wind while running over the bridges and then absolute euphoria as we ran through the five boroughs of Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Manhattan. Over 2 million spectators turned out to cheer on circa 39,000 participants – incredible!

Not a mile went by without thinking of all the support both financial and goodwill I received. Bob, Niall and I raised close to €20,000 for the Children’s Medical and Research Foundation at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin and I wish to sincerely acknowledge and thank you.”
