The Under 20’s went out to Blackrock on Sunday (11th Jan) and won 13 - 10 with last kick of game in the Super Six league.

Leading 10 - 0 at the break (tries from Jonathon Slattery and conversion and penalty from Jack O’Beirne). Rock came back strongly with wind at their backs in second half to level 10 - 10.

It was a cliffhanger finish as a penalty was awarded to Belvo on the halfway line in the very last minute.  One of the Blackrock players queried the referee’s decision and Belvo were given another ten metres to work with.  It was just enough and a dramatic winning penalty was knocked over.

Credit goes to all 22 players who played on the day in atrocious conditions and special mention must go to Stephen Malone for landing a huge penalty (into the wind) to win the match
